Back on the beach. Well there’s nowhere else to go really, and being five minutes walk from our gaff and also being one of the nicest beaches we’ve ever been to, it’s a bit of a no-brainer. Not much to say about it, other than phew what a scorcher and yes thanks, we’ve had a lovely day. (Along, again, with hundreds of locals, it being a Sunday.)
The lads playing cricket seems to be a regular thing – every day we see them when we’re coming back from the beach. Less formal games take place on the beach, and pretty much anywhere there’s room come to that. And I’ve been reminded more times than I care to remember that England lost to India, even if it was only by seven runs. Speaking of which, they’ll be showing the final at our usual restaurant, so we’ll be heading down shortly to see how the Kiwis are doing. ‘Way the lads!
