An easy day. Shome mishtake shurely

Pezzolo Valle Uzzone, Piedmont, Italy

After the purgatory of the last couple of days we decided to take it easy today and took a route with about 30 some miles and not much more than 800m climbing. After 2km altitude yesterday, a blessed relief.

Speaking of blessed, the fantastic weather is holding for the moment. Makes for a sweaty day on those grinding climbs, but worth every drop.

Heading for another ‘middle of nowhere’ Airb&b, we decided after a google search to try apparently the only food shop within two hours – a little village butcher. Where we obtained a steak, cut from a vast hunk of meat. Which turned out at a little over 1.1kg. Did we want one or two?

Must be 3″ thick. Boy, are we looking forward to dinner!
