Southeast Asian Odyssey '24, part three
Well, and here we are, in Siem Reap: dormitory to Angkor Wat. Which, let’s face it, is the reason to come here, owt else being a bonus. Just returned from the National Museum, where we got just a taster – a wonderful three or four hours spent in the company of ancient beauty and genius. Really looking forward to the real McCoy, and points beyond – mostly Phnom Penh and a bit more islanding.
You don’t really appreciate how much and how often you turn to it till suddenly it’s not there.
