It’s all over now, baby blue

That’s all, folks! As the Loony Tunes used to say when I were a nipper. A reference that will mean nothing to anyone but me, no doubt. Anyway, barring a couple of buses and a tuk tuk ride on the morrer, we’re done. *sob*. Having said which, I’m tapping this out in a blur, because we’ve already set up for our final meal, and judging by last night’s preamble at Maduka’s place, that’s a prospect to savour.

We’ve celebrated our final full day by doing naff all. In truth, that’s what we came here to do, so it’s all good. Apart from enjoying a fantastic breakfast – that’s it in the pic – with string hoppers (kind of thin rice-noodle pads), spicy dal, sambol (shredded coconut with chillis and lime and other tasty stuff), along with delicious omelettes made with onion and other other yummy stuff, rolled pancakes stuffed with (I think) more shredded coconut and honey) and a bowl of freshly chopped bananas, pineapple and mango). How can we leave all this? *sob*. Other than that it’s just been swims in the warm, gently-shelving, friendly-waving sea, and lots of lazing about, reading and listening to music.

And for our final finale, one last sunset on the beach, and one last chance to admire the local fishermen’s boat-parking technique.

Now it’s time to head back to Maduka’s for our last supper. If last night’s penultimate supper is anything to go by, it should be a belter!
